What a great day. As it turns out, our friends drove straight from Munich to Enschede on Friday night. Apparently they arrived around 4 AM. They called midmorning Saturday to let us know they were here. Instead of a quick evening drive-by visit we were able to spend most of the day together. Joe brought his fiance Nina, and their friends from Munich Michael and Bob. We had a great day sitting in the garden catching up, then we all went to Jimmy's for a bite to eat. They left in the evening to continue driving to Amsterdam-- after Amsterdam they will visit Brussels and Luxembourg.
It was such a nice break from our recent routine of trying to keep busy while waiting. Joe took lots of photos, and I am sure he will send some our way next week when he gets home. I will post a few here in the future.
