Today we bought supplies to make some easter eggs of our own. The famous US "Easter Egg Dye" company is Paas, which is actually the Dutch word for Easter. We are not sure what the connection is, but are pretty certain it is not a Dutch company-- you cannot buy a Paas dyeing kit here. There are crates of eggs available with some dye tablets, and egg painting sets. We opted for dye and a method taught to us our first year here by our friend Tereza which involves pressing items onto the eggs and soaking them in tea. Unfortunately we did not manage to buy the necessary panty hose, so our combinations were limited. Regardless, we will do it right next year, and we have these lovely eggs this year:

Those eggs kick our Paas kit egg's behind! I agree with Mary, what are your secrets? And about the art, that first piece is always a treasure. Who knew they were capable of that? I am impressed he is working with finger paints, we are still trying to teach that crayons are for coloring, not eating.
