September morn

I remember when we used to keep this blog a little more up to date- fortunately, the reason we have been a somewhat absent from the blogosphere is that we are happily busy starting our new life here in CT. A lot has happened since the last posting. We were able to postpone disaster at our house in NL when we found (luck o the Irish) a trio of Irish students who needed a place until Christmas and will be renting the house until January. Thanks to our vigilant neighbor Jurgen. We bought a second car -on Craig's list a used (sorry, pre-owned) blue-green 1994 Volvo 940 station wagon that has 216k but runs great.
The boys are adjusting to their various preschool/daycare situations; James has a great time at his school and comes home happy and exhausted every time. Will is not so into it yet- I think it will be better in a few weeks when he gets a little more used to it. They are both growing and changin so quickly- Will's personality (completely different to James ) is really emerging and James' language and argumentive/discursive skills are progressing quickly lets say (i.e., the excuses before bath and bed are becoming a little more imaginative and complex).

Here they are playing in the mud in the backyard-

Gotta love the good clean fun! Glad you are settling in, and happy about the house and car situation. Have fun at Maierfest 2008, we will miss being there.
